A long-legged pond-skater from when the flats were a sea, now crusted white with salt. It skates on the salt crust and draws circles. Water dissolves its crust and it sinks into the mud.
How it fights
It skates a wide circle of salt crystals around you and the ring starts closing in; when it snaps shut, the salt crystals spike up all around the middle.
