Duneshrike

A small shrike the colour of the dunes with a black bandit mask, so light it barely flaps - it leans on the wind and carries stones in its feet to drop on things below. Frost stiffens its wings and grounds it.
How it fights
It circles overhead on the wind. Then it lines up a run: a row of small shadows marks the ground in a line across you, and it sweeps along that line low and fast, dropping a stone on every shadow. Step sideways off the line.
