Glasstail

A dune scorpion whose tail ended in lightning-fused glass: a green-gold stinger that catches the sun. Water cracks the hot glass and makes it shy.

How it fights

It raises its pincers wide while a short wedge marks the sand in front of it; then it lunges and snaps - if it catches you, it flings you aside across the dune.
