Kelpmaw

What looks like one more clump of kelp swaying in the current is a mouth with fronds for arms, rooted to the sea floor. It eats whatever its fronds can drag down to it. Fire dries and curls its fronds.

How it fights

It flings slick fronds of kelp across the floor round you. Step on one and you slide - the way you were walking, or, if you stand still on it, toward its mouth. Its mouth opens when anything slides into reach, then snaps. Walk round the fronds, or off them before you reach the mouth.
