Lantern Mite

A squat mine-beetle that carries a stolen miner's lantern lashed to its back and lives off the heat of the flame. A gust of wind snuffs the lantern and leaves it blind and slow.

How it fights

It rears up and a ring of light marks where its lantern will land; then it flings the lantern in an arc and it bursts into a pool of burning oil.
