Lurecap

A squat purple mushroom with a cap that glows like a little lantern, so that lost things in the hollow follow its light - and anything that strays out of the light chokes on its spores. It shuffles about on a knot of roots. Darkness puts its lantern out, and without it it is helpless.

How it fights

Its cap flares and throws a pool of lantern light onto the ground at your feet, and spores start to swirl up out of the dark all round it. The pool slowly wanders off; the spores burst in pulses everywhere outside it. Follow the pool of light.
