Murkling

A shape like a heap of wet black weed, half-sunk in the fen, that pours a slick of murk out of itself wherever it goes. Things that wade into the murk do not wade out again. Strong light boils the murk away and makes it cringe.

How it fights

A slick of black murk spreads from it and drifts toward you - inside it you wade at half speed. While you are in it, bubbles boil up in a ring under you; then the murk erupts there in a sucking geyser. Get out of the slick early.
