Petal Duchess

The garden's proudest bloom walked off its bed: a gown of layered petals, a crown of stamens dusted gold, leaf-arms that curtsey. A gust strips her petals and leaves a bare, shivering stem.

How it fights

She curtseys and five pollen buds settle in a loose scatter around you; one after another they swell and burst into clouds of stinging gold.
