Sandwright

A squat, sand-crusted digger with two great shovel arms, the same colour as the dune it squats in. It raises a wall of sand for itself and then throws the desert down the wind. Water turns its sand to mud that will not lift.

How it fights

It heaves up a short wall of sand near you, and streamers show the wind starting to howl from its side; then it throws a sandblast down the wind that scours everything in front of it - except the calm patch in the lee of its own wall. Get behind the wall before the blast.
