Silkshade

A long rag of striped silk that hangs over the bazaar lanes like every other faded awning, until something walks under it. Underneath it is all frayed edges and two small eyes. It burns like the awnings round it.

How it fights

It hangs still as an awning, drifting over you on the breeze, then drops fast and wraps round you and starts to carry you off. Inside the wrap, struggle - change direction again and again - and it loses its grip; if you do not, it squeezes hard before it lets you go.
