Wickmoth

A lamp-eating moth as big as a cat: dusty grey-brown wings with staring eye-spots, a thick furred body and feathered feelers, its belly glowing with the light it has drunk from the Sanctum's lamps. Flame draws it in and burns it.

How it fights

It flutters over you and drinks your light: the room darkens round you and a cloud of wing-scale dust sifts down (it stings); then the stolen light bursts back out of its belly in a flash.
